Queen Must Go On wins The Tribute and is allowed to play in Ziggo Dome

The SBS6 program The Tribute – Battle of the Bands was won on Saturday by Queen Must Go On, a band that honors the music of the British group Queen. As a prize, the band can play for an hour later this year during a large tribute concert in Ziggo Dome.

A total of eleven bands competed for the coveted performance, of which six were left on Saturday. Four of them can be seen on May 7 in the Amsterdam concert hall. Queen Must Go On will share the stage with The Billy Joel Experience, who placed second and may co-headline. Brucified, the tribute band for Bruce Springsteen and the Bob Marley tribute band Rootsriders, who placed third and fourth respectively, can also perform in Ziggo Dome on May 7. The spectacular performance of the winners can be seen in the video at the top of this page.

The Tribute – Battle of the Bands searched for the groups that pay the best tributes to famous hit artists in six episodes. They were judged by a professional jury consisting of DI-RECT guitarist Spike van Zoest, singer Angela Groothuizen and Golden Earring drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk.
