At the age of twenty, singer and voice imitator Ward Palmen started his adventure in the European tribute band scene. Gunz N’ Rozes became a fifteen-year success story with many highlights.
Between 2010 and 2017, Ward mostly did studio productions. In the United States he made an album with hit producer Erwin Musper. He also contributed to more than 200 productions with various artists, such as DJ Jessy, Jaydee, DJ Galaga, 2 Unlimited, Moombahteam, Soca Boy, Koen Herfst and Eller van Buuren.
In 2018, the demand for live performances exploded, culminating in 200 events in a year.
On newyears eve of that year Ward, for the first time, was asked to impersonate Freddie during a grand dinner show in Kalkar, Germany. As he prepared for that show, he realized that this was the musical idea that would surpass all others.
Ward: “ The goal is to sing the album versions. It’s a challenge, but I think this is what the audience wants to hear.”
